Boston College, Gasson Hall, Chesnut Hill, MA: Conservation and restoration of decorative finishes

Gasson Hall, designed by Maginnis and Walsh, is one of Boston College’s most prominent buildings. John Canning & Co. had the opportunity to restore the interior back to Maginnis and Walsh’s design. The work included, mural conservation and restoration, decorative finishes restoration and glazing, and woodwork conservation. A large aspect of the project also included restoration, cleaning, stripping, toning and repointing and repair of the fabricated cast stone.
