Park Avenue Seventh Regiment Armory, New York, NY: Decorative painting and wood refinishing of historic building

John Canning & Co. was selected to provide services to the Seventh Regiment Armory Company K in New York City. The building, which is part palace and part industrial shed, was originally used as the headquarters for the 7th New York Militia. Now the building serves as a non-profit cultural institute with a mission to revitalize while still maintaining the buildings historical aspects. John Canning & Co.’s work included cleaning tests, wall covering removal, decorative paint restoration, and architectural woodwork restoration.
