John Canning & Co. applied traditional gold leaf and gilding on the Charles Bulfinch dome and Lady Justice statue atop Connecticut’s Old State House.
PROJECT DETAILS
These projects included the gilding of multiple statues and the dome. As the flagpole statues fabrication was complete, Canning prepared the surface, primed and gilded each statue with genuine gold leaf. The gilding of the dome and statues was done with genuine gold leaf using traditional gilding materials and techniques.
