SCOPE

The historic ceiling at First Parish dates back to 1833. Working with a structural engineer, it was determined that the historic plaster had lost integrity and the plaster keys were missing, disintegrating, and breaking throughout.

The ceiling was consolidated from above using an adhesive injection system to stabilize and reinforce the plaster ceiling back to the supporting lath and framing. In addition to consolidation, the plaster was patched from the sanctuary level throughout and the decorative painting replicated to blend seamlessly with the original.
