The Cosmos Club, Washington, DC: Restoration and conservation of the Warne Ballroom in this National Historic Landmark

The historic Cosmos Club is a National Landmark, and its Ballroom is the crown jewel. John Canning & Co. was selected as the prime specialty trade contractor and conservator for the restoration and conservation of the decorative finishes, architectural gilding, water gilding, mural plastering, woodwork, metals, and wood flooring. John Canning & Co., investigated the paint finishes to properly color match the original finishes and for color and gilding placement.
